A sitcom about a family with a robot girl for a daughter.
Ted is an engineer at a robotics plant who's been working on his own project: a computerized robot that looks and acts just like a real person. Complaining that his boss has no interest in the invention, he takes it home and unveils it to his wife Joan and his 12-year-old son Jamie. Ted’s "Voice Input Child Indenticant" – nicknamed ‘Vicki’ for short – looks and sounds exactly like a 10-year-old girl, but possesses superhuman strength and can take orders from anyone.
The family soon takes a liking to this amazing artificial kid, with Vicki acting like a daughter to Ted and Joan and like a kid sister to Jamie. But now that she’s become a part of the family, they must stay one step ahead of their friends and neighbors in hiding the fact that their “daughter” is actually a computer. And to add to their problems, Vicki is learning more and more what real kids get into: trouble.
