Doogie Howser is a brilliant young physician. Very brilliant... and very young. Doogie graduated from college at the age of ten and from medical school at the age of fourteen. By the age of sixteen, he was in residency at a large urban hospital.
Keeping Doogie's ego in check is his father – who is also a physician – as well as his best friend, who keeps Doogie grounded in teenage life outside of being a doctor.
